How does stand up comedy come back??
Stand up comedy is in communication the act of communicating, it is the way we call a humour show which also can be designated by clean face humour.
This type of standing humour became a trend because of having appeared again in television, due to the strength and impact that the media has the capacity to create in the viewer, making many things become trends as it happened with stand up.
One of the great pioneers of stand up in Portugal was a great man call Raul Solnado, who is a person with a lot of humour and an easy burst of laughter, in the year of 2003. But it was in 2009 that it consolidated its existence through television programs.
This type of humour has always existed but was from television and even in shows that brought about a bigger interest in a bigger variety of audiences.
The media have always had the capability of spreading the world and it was this way that thiskind of show and comedy became known here in Portugal, essentially due to the program transmitted by SIC “Stand up and laugh”, where several actors did a show to entertain the
This is common and well know way of of playing with cultural icons, symbols, or publish figures and celebrities, with the purpose of humour or satire.
In this type of communication we can use all the types of communication, namely verbal communication and non-verbal communication. To communicate in this way it is necessary to be assertive, to create character who identified with us, to rehearse and to do it so that it is spontaneous in the hour of the acting. This requires a deepeneed knowledge of ourselves so that in the hour of the presentation everything is credible and well accepted by the public.
What differentiates a comedian of stand up of other styles of communication is the fact that he does not tell know jokes, everything he says is original, when many rules not are on the exposed subjects, which allows a constant evolution.
After seeing a presentation of this type of comedy by Paul Almeida and to have a notion ofhow to communicate I completely surrender to this form of communicating of both comedians.
For them all the forms of communication count from gestures, glances, sounds, musician as the form of reaching everybody.
For two hours and thirty minutes of presentation both spoke, sang, always touched, with the glance in the public, interacting with them even making so the show still more interesting.
